Married at a young age, Blake and I have faced many trials together and each of our lives have been purified, only by the grace of God, over the past years. Blake's story is a lot like that of the prodigal son, who ran from family and responsibility, then turned to a world of self-satisfying pleasures, all while seeking fulfillment and purpose in his life, something that we can never find apart from God. This path led him to become a Navy Seal, where he became a highly trained and skilled medic, sniper, and operator.

Throughout our marriage, I remained faithful to our family and sought God for wisdom and strength in raising 3 girls during our first 8 years together. It was in the spring of 2018 that everything came crashing down around Blake and the life that he had built with his own strength could no longer satisfy him. He was sent to rehabilitation for drugs and alcohol, and ultimately, kicked out of the Navy. During this time, I continued to plead with God in prayer for our marriage and for Blake's life.

During Blake’s time in rehab, he had an encounter with the true and living God and surrendered his life to Jesus. In the blink of an eye, he was completely set free from the strongholds of drugs, alcohol, and infidelity. He became a new creation in Christ as the Holy Spirit came into his life to restore and heal every broken part.

With renewed commitment, we began the work of rebuilding the foundation of our marriage, with Christ at the center as our rock. This restoration brought about the reconciliation of our family and we began to live our lives, together, for the Kingdom of God. We managed a gym together in Virginia Beach, where we had amazing opportunities to minister to our clients. God led us to host a small group for Young Adults in our home, which then served as a home church during the difficult times of Covid-19 in early 2020. God soon spoke to us about leaving worldly things behind, and we followed Him in the Great Commission by taking by our family around the globe and into war-torn areas to bring hope, help, and love with FBR.

The enclosed pages are only a brief glimpse of the ways Jesus has worked in our lives and rescued our marriage. God has given us four beautiful and precious daughters. Victoria, Olivia, Joanna, and Selah are present with us for every part of this mission in one way or another. After all, the mission begins in our family.

We pray our video and the information we share here about our current mission encourages you to greatly pursue your own walk with God and what He has called you to do in the time He has given you on this earth.
